Rev­o­lu­tion­iz­ing PET Preform Production

The PET-Series from Otto Systems is a fully integrated, modular production system that enables PET preform producers to benefit in many ways. The integrated approach of the PET-Series lowers the initial investment, guarantees high productivity and minimises the wear. Its modular design covers all the needs of today's market and is scalable in terms of production volumes and preform dimensions. The compact layout of the PET-Series allows it to be compatible with some top-entry moulds, a first for the market. The PET-Series from Otto Systems are available in a range of capacities from 160 to 240 tonnes for side-entry moulds from 4 to 96 cavities.

Fully electrical clamping unit

The electric clamping unit is driven by a five-point double toggle with two water-cooled electric motors. The compact design and central force transmission ensure exceptionally long service life and minimal mould wear. The advanced kinematic dynamics of the highly energy-efficient clamping unit provide excellent lock-to-lock times with absolutely smooth motion.

Innovative post-mould cooling

Otto Systems' Pick-Blow Combi Air Cool is an integrated three-stage cooling system with water-cooled tubes in the removal plate and air-cooled pins in the transfer plate. The intelligent pusher design of the new PET-Series from Otto Systems first cools the preform before switching to vacuum mode for removal.

Energy-efficient plasticising

The technical concept for plasticising and injection ensures high energy efficiency and optimum AA values, as well as stable processing of up to 100% rPET and additives. For higher shot weights, the Time Safe Unit (TSU) side piston ensures the correct holding pressure.

Intuitive control panel

The large touch-screen control panel guarantees both easy navigation and intuitive operation. The information is reduced to the essential parameters required for safe, stable and high quality production. All pages are menu-driven and clearly structured, making the operator's job easier.
